This piece was inspired by 'Visual Pleasure and Narrative Cinema' by Laura Mulvey. 
"It takes as starting point the way film reflects, reveals even plays on the straight, socially established interpretation of sexual difference which controls images, erotic ways of looking and spectacle." - Laura Mulvey.
Showing how women in cinema have been shown as characters with no agency and exist as a plot device to further the male lead's storyline. They are used as nothing more than a pretty puppet on a string.
